Copyright Policy

Aurora respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. We will respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA") and applicable Canadian copyright law.

Filing a Copyright Infringement Notice

If you believe that content available on Aurora infringes a copyright you own, please submit a notice using the form below. To be effective, your notice must include:

• A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
• The location of the allegedly infringing content on Aurora — for example, a board name, link, or screenshot
• Your contact information, including name and email address
• A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf
• Your physical or electronic signature

Counter-Notification

If you believe content you posted was removed or disabled in error or as a result of misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification using the form below. Your counter-notification must include:

• Identification of the content that was removed and its location before removal
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief the content was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
• Your name, address, and phone number
• A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts in your district and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice
• Your physical or electronic signature

Repeat Infringers

Aurora will terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers of copyright, in accordance with applicable law.
